MCF Names New Diversity Director

The Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF) is excited to announce today the addition of a new Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Filling the new staff position is Lissa Jones, who brings to MCF more than twenty years of deep experience in organizational development, cultural competence, and change management in various sectors and industries.

Most recently, Lissa provided consultation to clients in the areas of leadership and inclusion. Prior to returning to consulting, Lissa spent ten years as executive director of African American Family Services, training nationally and internationally on inclusion and cultural competence.

Lissa’s arrival marks an important milestone for MCF, as it seeks to fulfill the goals of its new strategic plan, Leadership for the Future | 2012-2014. MCF is one of the first regional associations of grantmakers in the U.S. to hire a director to focus solely on diversity in philanthropy. MCF’s vision is to advance a more prosperous, inclusive and equitable Minnesota.

Welcome, Lissa!
