Changing a Way of Life
(Star Tribune) With the aid of a grant from United Health Foundation, Albert Lea residents participated in the first round of “Blue Zone” test cities in the US. Blue Zone communities are challenged to help residents create healthier lifestyles to increase longevity. Although Albert Lea did not meet their goal to engage 5,000 residents, city leaders still plan to continue the program beyond the test phase.
