Best Buy and the Search Institute Announce Study Findings on Teens

At 15 & Best Buy LogosAs a part of its @15 philanthropic focus, the Best Buy Children’s Foundation, an MCF member, partnered with the Search Institute to conduct a study on the early adolescent age group.  The recently completed study is titled “Teen Voice 2009: The Untapped Strengths of 15-year-olds.”

Previous research has shown that youth make important decisions during this time in their lives, yet the level of research and support for this group is low compared to support for younger age groups.

Best Buy is holding an event and live webcast at 2 p.m. CST June 8, 2009, at its corporate campus. At the event, Best Buy President and COO Brian Dunn and other speakers will give an overview of the research report and discuss how it will direct Best Buy’s own @15 initiative to encourage and support youth leadership and how other organizations can use this new information. The event is free and open to the public.

For more information and to register for the in-person event or live webcast, visit the event webpage at signup4.net.
